Other than the wait, thi splace does fish right! One of thee best in Jackson. When I lived in Jackson, I frequented this place at least 3 times a week, when I was in High School.
One of the best spots in West Jackson. If you're looking for a big restaurant vibes this is not the place. This is for the people who appreciate the culture and want that good authentic crispy fried big chunks of fish. Make sure to prepare for about a 45 minute 2 hour wait but what's the point of coming to the South if you don't have patience
Went to this place when the other fish place down the street had an asshole taking orders. This place had more delicious fish, great customer service and better portions. Please don't waste your time dealing with rude customer service down the street, order instead from this place!
Tried out Valley Street Fish House today and they definitely didn't disappoint!!!!! Fish was light and flaky and the breading was crunchy and seasoned just right!!!!! Definitely recommend them if you're looking for an excellent fish plate!!!!!
So I actually got this food through GrubHub because I was waiting on my truck to get fixed. I don't know what the restaurant looks like on the inside or outside. What I do know, for the price, you get a buttload of food. I went with the catfish steak dinner and an order of fried okra. I tried to put a coke bottle next to the pictures as reference. Now keep in mind I had already eaten a little bit more than a handful of okra in about three pieces of catfish BEFORE I took a picture. I asked them for lemon on the side but didn't get any but that's fine I have some limes. The fish was fried perfectly, I just wish that the coding had a little bit more spice to it but all in all for the value and authenticity, it was well worth it.
